Who should become a member?
Everyone! Mid-Cities Modern Quilters believes that quilting is an art that should be shared. We welcome all skill levels - beginners, experts and even non-quilters! Come learn about this beautiful craft and pick up new skills along the way.
How much is a membership?
Our annual membership fee is $40. If you’re joining between July and December, you’ll join at a discounted rate of $20.
When do you meet?
Guild meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of each month. Small groups with focused interests like longarm quilting and English paper piecing meet throughout the month. We’ll announce the schedules in our newsletter, on our website and at guild meetings.
What can I expect at a meeting?
We encourage all members to enjoy 30 minutes of informal social time before each meeting. We often use this time to collaborate and get feedback and advice from each other. Meetings begin with business and committee updates followed by Sew and Tell. Sew and Tell is an opportunity for members to showcase the quilts and various quilting projects that they’ve been working on - it’s a lot of fun! Each month, we have an educational program or a guest speaker. You can expect to hear a wide variety of quilty topics!
What’s included in my membership?
We offer educational, social and volunteer opportunities to our members. And because we all love a good deal, members enjoy a 15% discount at Sew It Up!
Because it is important to MCMQ to spread our love for quilting to the next generation and beyond, we provide many ways for you to connect with one another, cultivate friendships, and share this craft.

The most rewarding benefit of being a member is giving back to our community. Mid-Cities Modern Quilters supports a number of charities in North Texas. We encourage you to learn more about the organizations and the projects we create for them.

Additionally, we accept in-progress or finished quilts of any size. Members pass in-progress quilts from one to another, each completing a step in the process until the quilt is complete. All quilts are donated to our chosen charities.
