What Governs Us

About MCMQ

We are a group of modern quilting enthusiasts in the Dallas/Fort Worth Mid-Cities area. Our members gather together once a month to share ideas, socialize, improve our skills, and more!

Our members span all skill levels and tenure, so we encourage you to join us whether you've never sewn a stitch or if you've been quilting 30+ years.

Why join a guild of modern quilters? Membership not only benefits our members, but the community as well.

We have several charities that we support and provide much needed handmade items for those in need. Our generous members use their time and skills (and sometimes their excess stash!) to create quilts and other handmade items to those in need. You can see information about the charities we support and our lovely member contributions here.

Another great benefit of being a member of the Mid-Cities Modern Quilters is the ability to get inspired and expand your skillset. Each month we have a speaker, class, or activity to help inspire our next project or to improve our sewing & quilting techniques. In addition, we have several social activities outside of our monthly meetings. Anything from small group sewing bees to charity sew day workshops. And we're adding more activities as we grow!

And last, but certainly not least, we have Sew & Tell every month! We encourage our Members and Guests to bring your quilting or other crafty projects to show off to the group. We have some incredibly talented quilters in our group and we love to see what they create each month.
